Mary E. Briggs 1934-2005 Mary Ellen Briggs, 70, of Cheyenne died April 29 at United Medical Center-West. She was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Culbertson, Neb., and lived here since 1968. Mrs. Briggs was a registered nurse and had graduated from Presbyterian School of Nursing in Denver. She was a member of First Baptist Church, American Baptist Women's Circle, "Forever Young" church group, National MS Society and MS Support Group. Mrs. Briggs is survived by her husband, Milton E. Briggs of Cheyenne, whom she married June 26, 1955; a son, Mark A. Briggs of Cheyenne; two sisters Marge Byrd of Livonia, Mich., and Kay Jankovits of Culbertson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Fassler. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian High and Rev. Max Kaser officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Johnny Cagle, Ed Tafoya, Audean Dyer, Jack Wascher, Warren Gookin and Jay Phelan. Friends may contribute to First Baptist Church.
