Mark Allan Hinz Monday, August 22, 2005 Jan. 29, 1970--Aug. 20, 2005 Mark Allan Hinz, 35, died Saturday (Aug. 20, 2005) southeast of McCook as the result of an auto accident. He was born Jan. 29, 1970, to Kenneth D. and Gayle Lee (Helberg) Hinz in McCook. He attended Republican Valley Schools and McCook Public Schools. He was an electrician and a mechanic assistant at the McCook Speedway. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delores Helberg and Emil and Charlotte Hinz and an aunt, Dorothy Kalthoff. Survivors include two sons, Drew and Drake Matson both of Wray, Colo.; a daughter, Shaedee Matson of Wray, Colo.; his father, Kenneth Hinz of McCook; his mother and step-father, Gayle and Jim Bird of Almena, Kan.; one brother, Merlin Hinz and wife, Deonne of Bartley; grandfather, Lloyd Helberg of Cozad; great-grandmother, Florence Mercer of Cozad; and several aunts and uncles. Services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Ash Creek with the Rev. Mark Stahla officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Ash Creek with Scott Mustion officiating. Visitation is today, until 8 p.m., at the McCook Christian Church, please use the east door on W. Fourth Street. Condolences can be left at www.carpenterbreland.com.
