Kurt Lee Propes Monday, February 2, 2009 Nov. 22, 1961 - Jan. 28, 2009 FORT MEYERS, Fla. --

Kurt Propes passed away Jan. 28, 2009, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center at the age of 47.

He was born Nov. 22, 1961, in McCook to Robert and LouAnn (Lewis) Propes. Kurt graduated from McCook Senior High School in 1980.

On Oct. 2, 1982, Kurt married Terri Oakley. To this union a son, Brian Cliff was born. On Sept. 22, 1990, Kurt married Jennifer Harris. To this union a son, Anthony Joseph "AJ" was born.

He was an Equipment Manager at several golf courses. Over the years his work took him to Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Florida. Kurt had a true zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. He was a fan of football and NASCAR. He especially followed the Raiders, Sooners, Earnhardt and Earnhardt Jr. Kurt enjoyed attending races and games over the years. He also enjoyed Boxer dogs.

He was preceded in death by his mother, LouAnn and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer and son, AJ of Lehigh Acres, Fla.(now McCook, NE); son, Brian and granddaughter, Alleen Ann of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his father, Robert and step-mother, Deanna Propes of McCook. Siblings: sister, Tammie and husband, Herman Coleson of Hooks, Texas, sister, Terri Propes of Kearney, brother, Scott and wife, Kristina Propes of McCook and sister, Anita Propes of McCook; and nieces, Lisa and Jenell.

Your passing has left an ache that will fade with time, but the love, laughter and memories will be with us forever.
