SUN CITY WEST, Arizona -- Cecilia May Peyton, 95, died Feb. 12, 2014.

She was born in McCook, Nebraska, to Frank and Mary (Kersting) Klocke on April 17, 1918.

She was raised on the family farm south of McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1934. She attended Dickinson Secretarial School in Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating in 1936. She worked for the U.S. government during World War Two in Washington, D.C. She married Harold Peyton on April 4, 1946, in Washington, DC. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where they made their home until 1969, when they retired and moved to Tempe, Arizona. After her husband's death in 1999, she moved to Sun City West to be near her niece, Karon Chitwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal, in 1999; her parents and her brothers and sisters, Dorothy and husband, Ralph McKillip, Eleanor and husband, William Schaefers, Hilda and husband, James O'Brien, Harold and wife, Ruth Klocke, Leo and wife, Mary Klocke and Francis and wife, Elizabeth Klocke.

She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews.

Services will be Feb. 25, 2014, 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City West. Internment is at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
