Stephen was two years older than me. His sister often babysat us as our family of 7 (then 8) lived two blocks away in McCook, NE. Stephen was my 'teacher' to learn the Latin phrases required to be altar boys. As soon as we learned the Latin responses, the Mass switched to English! Another sister was my classmate.
