Christopher "Chris" P Klein age 51 of McCook, NE passed away due to a motor vehicle accident on January 8, 2016 near Stratton, NE. He was born in McCook, NE on December 5, 1964 to Richard and Barbara (Ninemiers) Klein. Chris attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1983. He later went to Kearney State for a semester. 

Chris was employed in the oil fields as a rig hand by Bexco, Husker Energy Search, Robuck and Murphins. Chris was a collector of sports memorabelia,collecting baseball and football cards. He was an avid Pittsburg Steeler and Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan. 



Chris married Robin Brown on April 6, 1996 at the Peace Lutheran Church in McCook. 



He was preceded in death by his father: Richard; Aunt Marian; grand parents: Jake and Anna Klein; Roy and Ruth Ninemiers. 



Chris is survived by his wife: Robin of McCook; daughter: Kerrigan Klein of Auroraa, CO; son Gavyn Klein of McCook; 2 stepsons: Trenton and wife Josi of Culbertson; Peyton and wife Tessa Cook of Ft. Riley, KS: 4 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Sally and husband Doug Henderson of Alliance, NE; Ruth Ann Klien of McCook; one brother: Richard Mark Klein and wife Penny Klen of Virginia. 



Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM till 7:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Peace Lutheran Chruch in McCook, NE with Pastor Tom Albertson. Interment will be in the Memeorial Park Cemetery. Memorial may be left in Chris's name for the establishment of a scholarship for Gavyn.
