Donna Marie Wickizer died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was 55 years old.
Donna was born Feb. 4, 1954, in McCook, Nebr. to Frederick G. and LaVerda A. (Payne) Karp.
She graduated from McCook High School in 1972; McCook Community College in 1987 and was currently working on a Bachelor Degree from the Bellevue University.
The past 20 years Donna lived in Cambridge. The past 16 years she was an insurance agent for AFLAC. She delighted in cooking with and for her three grandchildren and also enjoyed photography and watercolor painting.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship in McCook and the Republican River Riders.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred and LaVerda Karp.
Survivors include her son Beau Buffington of Ogallala, son of the late Mark Buffington; son Chet and father Clint Wickizer both of Cambridge; brother David and wife Julia Karp of McCook; sisters, Barb Mayo of Kearney and Linda Dethlefsen of McCook; Jess Kriha (Beau's fiancée); and three grandchildren Callie and Alex Kriha and Ian Buffington.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., at the Cornerstone Fellowship at the corner of West 5th and D Street, with Pastor Rob Putz officiating. Burial will be in the Indianola Cemetery.
