He was born to Robert and Georgia Cobb on Nov. 10, 1952, in Houston, Texas and grew up in Norfolk and McCook, Nebraska; graduating from McCook High School with the class of 1971.
Jim was married to Sandy Amen in 1972 and had two children, Courtney and Eric.
He began playing guitar in his early teens and continued his love of music his entire life.
He was a gifted musician.
Survivors include his daughter, Courtney; his son Eric; his brother John; and three grandchildren.
