Harold Fisher

McCOOK, Neb. -- Harold Fisher, age 65, died at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook on Jan. 5, 2015.

 

He was born in McCook on Oct. 19, 1949, to Everett and Forence (McDowell) Fisher. Harold attended school in McCook. On Aug. 25, 1969, he joined the Army National Guard and served until May 23, 1975.

 

Harold was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life, moving to wherever the job took him. He lived all over the United States until settling in Ogallala, Nebraska, in 1994. He worked for both Crete Carrier Company and CFI. On Feb. 28, 1995, he married Diana Baker. They made their home for seven years in Ogallala until they moved to Culbertson in 2001. Harold has been at Hillcrest Nursing Home for the last year due to health concerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Diana of Culbertson; son, Daniel of Wyoming; two step-sons, Chad Fieldingof Dallas, Texas, and Brad Fielding of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Collene Geishler of Oberlin, Kansas, and Cheryl and husband, Dale Stewart of Indianola, Nebraska; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, 10 a.m. graveside at the Riverview Cemetery of McCook with Mike Roth officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
