My husband, LaVerne, was employed with the US Postal Service as a city mail carrier. I didn't work after we married as we started our family. We bought a small farm west of McCook and lived there until 1981 when my husband was made Postmaster of White Lake SD. We raised our children there and after college, they all married in a 3 yr time-frame and have blessed us with 37 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Three years ago we moved to Norfolk, NE, which is central to all the kids homes. LaVerne and I are retired and are enjoying the family God blessed us with.
