OBERLIN, Kan. — Delores Joan Jennings, 76, died Saturday (Dec. 30, 2017) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb.

She was born Sept. 10, 1941 in Fairbury, Neb., to Arthur and Wilma (Chancellor) Dimond. She grew up in McCook, Neb., with her grandparents, Vernon and Rose Chancellor. She attended grade school and high school in McCook and one year at Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, Texas.

She married James Jennings on July 2, 1960, at the Oberlin Covenant Church. They lived in Houston, Texas; Anthony, Kan.; Mountain Grove, Mo.; Littleton, Colo.; then to Oberlin, while her husband was a minister. She was a licensed practical nurse.

She was a member of Church of God, Ornament Club, Quilt Club, and Heart to Heart Sewing Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Wilma (Chancellor) Dimond, and brother, Raymond Chancellor.

Survivors include her husband, James Jennings of Oberlin; children, Clinton Jennings (Cathy) of Greenfield, Ind., Christopher Jennings of Sparks, Nev., and Christina Coalter (Terry) of St. Joseph, Mo.; sister-in-law, Helen Chancellor of Bruning, Neb.; and two grandchildren,
