NORTH PLATTE -- Larry L. Lusk, 70, died Friday (Oct.9, 2009) at his home in North Platte.

He was born April 23, 1939, in Benkelman to Roy F. and Darlene E. (Cobb) Lusk. After graduation from McCook High School, he graduated from the Nebraska Technical School at Milford.

He entered the U.S. Army on Oct. 30, 1961. On June 1, 1963, he married Anna Marie Witte in Clay Center. After his discharge from the service, the couple settled in Kearney where he worked as an auto mechanic for four years. They then moved to North Platte in 1969, where he was a switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 31 years, retiring in 2001.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Ann of North Platte; daughter, Laura and husband, Alan Paul of Fort Collins, Colo.; son, Brian and wife, Judy Lusk of North Platte; sister, Janet and husband, Gene Mahon of McCook; brother, Kenneth and wife, Dee Lusk of North Platte; four grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Evangelical Free Church with the Rev. Dan Reimer officiating. Burial will be in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation will be today through Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte. Online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com.

A memorial has been established to the Bethel Evangelical Free Church Building Fund.
