OBERLIN, Kansas -- Harold D. Berry Sr., 69, died Saturday (April 30, 2011) at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.

He was born Sept. 7, 1941, in McCook, Nebraska, to Carroll C. and Clara E. (Ruby) Berry. He was raised in Oberlin and McCook. He attended schools in both Oberlin and McCook, and graduated from McCook High School in 1959.

He lived in Yuma, Colorado, Bruch, Colorado, McCook, Traer, Kansas and Oberlin.

On June 23, 1962, he married Patricia "Pat" Ike in McCook.

He worked for Halliburton Oil Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Rober Keen; son, Harold Berry Jr.; brothers, Larry, Terry and Gary Berry; infant sister, Clara Berry; half siblings, Robert Keen Jr. and Wanda Keen; and granddaughter, Dana Berry.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Berry of Oberlin; son Michael and wife Florinda Berry of Fredricksburg, Virginia; daughter, Heidi Jo and husband, Bobby Eugenio of National City, California; brother, Carroll E. and wife, Janice Berry of Arvada, Colorado; sisters, Diane and husband, Bill Slagle of St. Leroy, Nebraska, Deanna Syckara of Columbus, Nebraska, and Terrie Bredvick of Culbertson, Nebraska; half sister, Deb and husband, Earl McNutt of McCook; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment is in Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday 8 a.m. until the service time.
