OMAHA -- Stuart R. Jaeger, 68, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 at Hospice House in Omaha.

Stuart was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Lodgepole, Neb. to Homer and Helen (Thomas) Jaeger. He grew up in McCook and attended St. Patrick's School in McCook and McCook High School.

He worked for Jewel Company in McCook and then moved to Columbia, Mo. He lived in Columbia for three years and then moved to Wichita, Kan., for five years. He was a resident of Omaha since 1988. He was an area manager for Ecolab Pest Elimination.

Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Helen Jaeger and brother, Gerald Jaeger.

Survivors include wife, Christine (Ficenec) Jaeger; daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Thomas Gaschler and Lana and Richard Amsler; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and James McGinley; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Charlene Jaeger; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Omaha.

Memorial visitation will be today at 4 p.m. with a memorial wake service at 7 p.m. at John A. Gentleman 72nd Street Chapel in Omaha.

There will be a memorial service Monday, 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial with a social gathering in the church hall to follow. A private family interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Imperial.

Memorials are suggested to Brain Cancer Society, Hospice House (Omaha) or St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (Omaha).
