OSCEOLA, Nebraska -- Freddie Darrell Wright, 74, died Tuesday (March 18, 2014) at his residence in Osceola.

He was born Aug. 5, 1939 to Robert 'Whity' and Edith Mae (Mitchem) Wright in McCook, Nebraska. He attended East Ward Elementary school and graduated from McCook High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army Corps from November 1961 to November 1964. Following his discharge, he lived in Colorado Springs and worked at a service station until 1970. He then moved back to McCook and Indianola area and worked at Equity Coop.

In 1972, he was united in marriage and to this union one son was born and two sons were adopted. In 1987, Freddie moved to Omaha and worked at Midland Kennels, then he moved to Grand Island and worked at the Riverside Inn.

In 2000 he moved to Osceola where resided until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Goscha.

Survivors include sons Randy and wife, Diane Wright of Bashor, Kansas, Russell and wife, Leeann Sisson Wright of Osceola and Robert and wife, Krystal Wright of Kearney; sisters, Donna Cole of Osceola, Luanne and husband, Jim DeVoll of Tekahma; brothers, Bob and wife, Lauri Wright of Pueblo, Colorado, and Jerry and wife, Shirley Wright of Osceola; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Osceola Cemetery.

Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg is in charge of arrangements.
