Deanna Fae Hedrick, age 76, of Murdock, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. A Memorial Service will be held 10 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Byron United Methodist Church in Byron, Minnesota. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock. Deanna Fae Hedrick was born March 13, 1938 to LeRoy and Mary Elizabeth (Munden) Giles in Hay Springs, Nebraska. She grew up in McCook, Nebraska and graduated from Boulder High School in Colorado. She then attended the University of Colorado. Deanna was married to Christopher Jones from 1958 to 1974 and this union was blessed with four children. From 1978 to 1995, she was married to James M. Hedrick. Deanna was a devoted mother, Girl Scout Leader and 4-H Leader, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at a Homeless Shelter, was a choir director at church, and a foster parent. She enjoyed her hobby farm where she raised dairy goats and sold milk and cheese. Deanna was a portrait artist and loved music and listening to public radio. Some of her favorite things were playing rummy and cribbage, her dogs, the Minnesota Vikings, bird watching, and books on tape.

Deanna passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. She had attained 76 years, 2 months, and 20 days of age.

She is survived by three children: Christopher David Jones of Byron, MN, Burton Peekeekoot Jones of Arizona, and Charlotte Estelle (Anthony) Rosemeier of DeGraff, MN; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many wonderful lifelong friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Brown; and half-brother, Jerry Giles.
