Beverly Lee Long passed away to the Lords hands on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born July 1, 1938 in McCook, NE, the daughter of the late Erven and Harriet Hockman. She grew up in McCook and attended McCook High School. She retired from Dorsey Labs in 1997 and on August 16th of 1997 she married Frank Long who was her loving and doting husband for the past 21 years. She loved spending time reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, travel/camping, restoring old furniture, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Wilbur “Bill” Hockman and her son Daniel Hill. Beverly is survived by her husband Frank, Brother James Hockman and his wife Grace of Boulder, Colorado; Sister Janet Springer and her husband Francis of Farmington, New Mexico; Daughter Julie Tvrdy and her husband Douglas of Waverly; Daughter Rebecca Tomhave and her husband Scott of Lincoln, NE; Eight Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 9, at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association.
