HARTSELLE, Alabama -- Ronald Date Kepler, 73, died Thursday (Dec. 30, 2010), at his residence.

He was born March 20, 1937, in Nebraska to Date Wilson Kepler and Emily M. Goodman Kepler.

He was employed with Insurance Services Office (ISO) as a manager for eight states.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarasota Bailey; and a son-in-law, Brian Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet C. Kepler of Hartselle; two sons, Anthony Kepler of Connecticut, and Jeffrey Kepler of Birmingham, Alabama; two daughters, Rhona Kepler of Lutton, Arizona, and Janet Kepler Bailey of Hartselle; brother, Donald Kepler of Scottbluff, Nebraska; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services are Sunday, 7 p.m., at Peck Funeral Home Chapel in Hartselle with Jeffrey Kepler officiating. Graveside services are Monday, 2 p.m., at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County, Alabama.

Visitation is Sunday, 6 p.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
