Darlene Musgrave (Baughman) - Class Of 1955

Darlene Faye (Musgrave) Baughman, 75, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011, in Oberlin, Kansas. She was born May 27, 1936, in Oberlin, Kansas, to Marguerite K. (Bencken) and Tom V Musgrave. Darlene grew up in the Oberlin and McCook, NE, area and attended McCook public schools. On January 6, 1967, Darlene married Glen Baughman, in McCook, NE. He became a father to her four children, and a son was born to their union. Over the years, they resided in McCook, Hill City and Oberlin. Darlene had a home cleaning service for 36 years. She also worked for Montgomery Ward in Hill City and as a waitress. She was baptized in the McCook United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in McCook and VFW in Ogallala, NE. Darlene enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, crafts, gardening and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Glen E. Baughman, Sr. of Oberlin; sons, Glen E. Baughman Jr. (Georgia) of Culbertson, NE; Richard Portz (Carol) of Paradise, TX; and Robert Portz (Penny) of McCook, NE; daughters, Diana Trout (Paul) of Caldwell, ID; and Teresa Kuhlmann (Charles) of McCook; brother, Dale Musgrave (Elizabeth) of Hastings, NE; sister, Dorothy Hejl of Oaklawn, IL; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren: and a host of relatives and friends
