VENICE, Florida -- Patricia "Patty" Ruth McBrien McIlmoyle, 80, passed away Thursday, February 28th, 2013, at Venice Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

Patty was born May 18, 1932, in McCook, Nebraska, to Lawrence Ivan McBrien and Augusta Diana Hampton McBrien and graduated in 1950 from McCook High School.

On Dec. 27, 1952, Patty married Gerald Eugene McIlmoyle, a 2nd Lt pilot in the USAF. During Jerry's career, they moved more than 25 times. They retired in Venice in 1998.

Patty is survived by her husband, Jerry; their four children: Patrick (wife, Robin) McIlmoyle of Durham, North Carolina; Ruth (husband, Mark) Reiser of Bellevue, Washington; Maureen (husband, David) Stephan of Shawnee, Kansas; and Erin Maxwell of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren: Rebecca Perez (husband, Ricky) of Durham, North Carolina, Daniel McIlmoyle of Augusta, Georgia, Katie McIlmoyle of Raleigh, North Carolina; Brian Reiser of Princeton, New Jersey; Kendra Reiser of Notre Dame, Indiana; Diana and Samantha Stephan of Lincoln, Nebraska; and great-grandchild, Sophia Perez of Durham, North Carolina.

Patty was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Glen Titman and Melissa McBrien Knosp Pittam, and by one child, Mary Catharine McIlmoyle.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 7, from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home Venice Chapel. Funeral services will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m., with a reception in the parish hall immediately following.
