Harlan K. Van Horn was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Culbertson, Neb., and passed away March 18, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeanie; and four children, Debbie, Teresa, Harlan Jr., and Tracy.

Harlan served in the Navy and retired from the Port of Portland in 1985. He loved his family, his gardening and the Seattle Mariners.

No service will be held.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Heritage Memorial, Portland.
