Donald H. Bloomgren

Bloomgren, Donald H. Don, a loving husband and father of four girls and loving big brother, was born in Oberlin, KS. He attended University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and moved to Wichita to work at Boeing as a Senior Principal Engineer. He was an amazing provider and protector, a patient man of few words but full of wisdom and humility and a faithful follower of Jesus who served as a Gideon and taught Bible study. He loved aviation, travel, trains and photography. At the age of 86, Don passed away Friday, October 20, 2017. Graveside service 2 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Mulvane Cemetery. Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Mulvane Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie Bloomgren. Donald is survived by his 4 daughters, Sabrina (Ron) Nibbelink of Augusta, KS, Rebecca (Kent) Ott of Mulvane, KS, Kirsten (Donavon) Decker of Andover, KS, Heather (Aaron) Myrick of Frisco, TX; 9 grandchildren, Emily Nibbelink, Juliana (Mark) Whisman, Jessica Nibbelink, Lindsey Ott, Rachael (Nicholas) Hinton, Madison Gale (with her grandparents in heaven), Nicholas Gale, Callie Myrick, and Seth Myrick; 4 great-grandchildren, Isaac, Ian, and Ivan Whisman and Alex; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Marylou Bloomgren; nephews, Volker Dilly and George (Kacy) Bloomgren; nieces, Kelly (Bob) Nerosa and Sherri (Kurt) Kelly.
