Carolyn Clark (Olivares) - Class Of 1948

Rochester, NH- Carolyn Olivares, 79, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH.

She was born December 13, 1930 in McCook, Nebraska. She was the daughter of the late John and Marvel (Brown) Clark.

Carolyn, affectionately know as “KK” by her loved ones, grew up in McCook Nebraska and attended Hastings College where she majored in music and played trumpet. After college she moved to Sacramento, California where she met her future husband Armando Olivares. They married in 1954 and had 3 children. Several moves took her family to Idaho, New Hampshire, and eventually to Suffolk County in England UK, where they lived for 11 years. She particularly enjoyed living and traveling abroad and making new friends.

Carolyn most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was also passionate about music, reading, drawing, politics, watching old movies, and laughing.

Her beautiful blue eyes and quick warm smile are remembered by all who met her.

Members of her family include her husband of 56 years Armando Olivares of Rochester, her children Kristi Olivares and husband Chris Thompson of Rochester, Robyn Olivares of Hampton, and David Olivares and wife Robyn of New York; her sister Dorothy Hutto of Oregon; her grandchildren Alex, Indy & Maddie Olivares-Thompson all of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Wayne Clark, sisters; Garland Welch and Jean Wiggs.

Friends and family may visit Monday, November 15, 2010 from 6 PM to 7 PM at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867

A memorial service will immediately follow at 7 PM.
