Cliff Webber - Class Of 1947

Clifford Stanley Webber

Clifford Stanley Webber, 83, of Platteville, Colo., passed away January 1, 2012 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Denver, Colo., on September 20, 1928 to David and Corinne Webber. He attended schools in McCook, Neb., and graduated from McCook High School. He moved to the Platteville, Colo., area after graduation.

He married Alice Lorene Lall June 3, 1951 in Greeley, Colo. He owned and operated a dairy, farmed and fed cattle.

He enjoyed following all the activities of his three daughters and following his seven grandsons in 4-H, FFA and sports activities. All are active in their respective churches. Clifford was a member of the Gilcrest Baptist Church in Gilcrest, Colo., and had served as Trustee and Deacon. He served in the Gilcrest volunteer fire department and served on the board of directors.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Alice Lorene Webber of Platteville, Colo.; daughters Debbie Hefftner of Parlin, Colo., Susan Weber and husband Marty, Tami Webb and husband Fred, all of Platteville, Colo.; brother Paul T. Webber and wife Eileen, of Platteville, Colo.; seven grandsons, Duke Webb and wife Kassia, Josh Webb and wife Kristen, Grady Webb, Eli and Riley Weber all of Platteville, Colo., Taylor Hefftner and wife Emily, and Kipp Hefftner of Parlin, Colo.; two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sister Betty Lou Sprouse and brother Bobby Webber.

Memorial services were held January 5, 2012 at the Eaton Evangelical Free Church in Eaton, Colo.
