KINGSVILLE, Texas -- Dr. Jack L. Bradshaw, age 81, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 in Kingsville.

He was born May 21, 1928, in McCook, Neb., to E. L. Bradshaw and Mabel Lindholm Bradshaw. Jack graduated with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Nebraska, Kearney, Neb. He earned a master of arts degree from the University of Omaha, Neb., and a doctorate of education from the University of Missouri, Columbus, Mo., in 1971. He was a professor of education at Texas A&I University, Kingsville, until his retirement.

 

Mr. Bradshaw, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois A. Bradshaw of Kingsville; three daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Wherry of Granite Bay, Calif., Monica (Glenn) Johnson of Katy, Texas and Laura (Mark) Butschi of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church with Fr. Piotr Koziel as celebrant.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
