BUMANN,
Lila M.

July 10, 1926 -
October 7, 2016

Lila was born July 10, 1926 in McCook, Nebraska, the youngest of seven children born to Pete and Elmina Niccolson.
After college, she worked as the assistant secretary-treasurer for Production Credit Association until her marriage to Harold Bumann in 1952. Three children, Barbara, Marcia and Robert were born of this union.
Harold's career took them to a number of states before the family moved to Burley, Idaho in the summer of 1972. Lila served five years on the Burley Library Board, including one year as president. She also volunteered her time for several years as a Pink Lady at Cassia Memorial Hospital, also in Burley. Lila and Harold lived in Idaho for more than 40 years before moving to Riverview Retirement Community in Spokane in 2014.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jim, Ted, Bob, and Everett; two sisters, Arleta and June; and a beloved grandson, Christopher Kirlin. She was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; and their three children, Barbara Bumann, Marcia (Jim) Kirlin and Robert (Brenda) Bumann. Lila is survived by four grandchildren, Jonathan (Ann) Grafft, Josh Kirlin, Lauren Kirlin, and Alexandra Maxwell-Bumann. She was blessed as well with two beautiful great-grandchildren, Elisabeth and Aidan Grafft. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Norma Jean McCorcle; a nephew, Scott Niccolson; a very special niece, Nancy (Don) Blanchard; and many other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Deaconess Hospital for their care and comfort these past two weeks, especially Dr. Geraghty and Lila's nurses: Danielle, Flo, Corrine, Paula, and Teresa.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 13, at 2 p.m. at the Riverview Retirement Community Chapel, 1801 E. Upriver Drive.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Idaho Youth Ranch, 5465 W. Irving Street, Boise, ID 83706, www.youthranch.org.
