BARTLEY, Neb. -- Gladys A. Liston Earl, age 90, died at her home on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015. 

She was born in McCook, Nebraska, on Sept. 3, 1924, to Charles and Crescenty Balius Clapp. Gladys grew up in McCook, graduating from McCook High School in 1942.

Gladys was united in marriage to Clarence "Wendy" Liston on Jan. 31, 1946. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1985. Gladys and Wendy ran the City Café in Bartley for 30 years. Gladys also had a shop on main street, the UNO Shop (Used, New, Old). It was a collection of eclectic sort of goods, or as she would say, "treasures." 

On July 27, 1993, she married Darrel Earl. He preceded her in death in March 10, 2010. Gladys was an organized hoarder, but knew the location of each and every item. She also liked to play all kinds of card games with her grandchildren, crochet afghans and make crafts such as Christmas ornaments.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wendy and Darrel; three brothers, Cliff, Charles (Bud) and Albert; and two sisters, Eva and Evelyn.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy and husband, Jeff Linner of Upland, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Caesare' and wife, Elsa of Upland, Jebbarae' and wife, Molly of Kearney and Desiree' and husband, Vince Guthrie of Ragan, Nebraska; seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Xander, Gavin, Dawson, Jaxon, Stetson and Georgia; four sisters, Bev and husband, Gary Premer, Gertrude King, Millie Housley and Levina and husband, Paul Fritsche, all of McCook, Nebraska..

Memorial services will be Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge, Nebraska, with close family friend Pastor Brian Demmel officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Bartley Cemetery. Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com
